Let stress and anxiety flow out with flow art.

Gloving it!
What is “flow art” you ask?  It is a term used to describe the intersection of multiple movement-based disciplines derived from ancient forms of martial arts like taichi and poi spinning to modern fire dancing and hula hooping. There are many familiar objects or “props” an artist may learn to manipulate such as a staff, nunchucks or buugeng.  Other props previously associated with circus performers, such as those used by jugglers and fire dancers, including balls, hula hoops and poi, manipulated with or without being lit on fire, are used by flow artists today.  Some new props take advantage of modern technology by using LED lights instead of fire.  Gloving, or choreographed hand dancing using LED lit gloves, has actually become a nationally recognized sport.

Let’s look at a few modern day props called flow toys.
